Fill every region with a solid color, multi-color stripes, one of 197 country flags, or your own uploaded image. Move, resize, and expand flags to fit each country naturally.
3. Export and share
Redraw borders, split or merge countries, add new regions, and download your finished map in high resolution.

Is Map Maker free?
Yes. Map Maker is free to use in your browser. It’s currently in beta — new features ship regularly, and feedback is welcome on Discord or via Vote for Features.
Can I put my own flags on the map?
Yes. Choose from 197 built-in country flags or upload any image for free. Pro users can also select their saved Flag Creator designs directly inside Map Maker. Flags can be moved, resized, and expanded to fill the surrounding region.
Can I draw my own countries?
Yes. Load a blank template and draw, split, and merge regions to build your own world from scratch.
The Human Behind Map Maker
Hi, I’m Sven, a roleplayer and indie developer from Berlin. I’ve been building tools for fellow tabletop players and worldbuilders for years: Coat of Arms Maker, Heroic Token and this one. More than a million people have used them.
Flag Creator has been shipping updates since May 2022. Map Maker has been added as a new feature in March 2026. You can read every single one in the changelog. Every feature exists because users asked for it. If something breaks, I fix it. If you have an idea, write me through the contact form or on Discord. I will read it, probably too late at night.
